Numbers Station emulates the once-common — and still occasionally active — shortwave stations long thought to carry coded messages to covert operatives around the world: strings of numbers, read in a flat, repetitive voice, their true purpose never officially confirmed.
Every sound and the voice in this piece are entirely artificial. And for anyone inclined to listen closely — there really is a message hidden in the numbers.
